Jim Holden

Are you ready to live and breathe the magic and romance of an African Safari?

Jim was born in Zambia, and attended school in Zimbabwe and South Africa. He worked in the travel industry in Kenya, and enjoys “stepping back into Africa” several times a year.

We like to call him the “Crocodile Dundee” of Africa, and as a born story-teller, Jim will charm you with his accent, captivate you with his humor, and stimulate your senses as he takes you on a journey to discover the wildlife and people of Africa.

Jim now lives and works in Newport Beach and is passionate about helping people realize their dreams of visiting Africa.

Sonia Marsh

I’m Sonia Marsh, a tour leader with Holden Safaris. We design small group Safaris (12 people maximum) with a specific theme. I’ll share some of our upcoming Safaris during our presentation and hope to bring you on one of my African theme-focused Safaris for baby-boomers with a sense of adventure and a thirst to learn. Annslie Bigbee

The daughter of a diplomat and a portrait artist, Annslie Bigbee has been traveling abroad since she was five and has always had a passion for suitcases and packing. Having attended schools in Nigeria, Morocco, Pakistan, and the United States, Annslie developed a commitment to giving back to others in many ways, including teaching at an inner-city school, serving as a rural development agent in the United States Peace Corp, and teaching nutrition and animal husbandry in the remote district of Nkondo, Uganda. Here in the United States she volunteers with Habitat for Humanity on Women Build events.

Annslie ran a luggage store in Del Mar, CA for 13 years and has sold Briggs & Riley for almost 20 years. She is currently the Regional Director of South Pacific Sales for Briggs & Riley, the only remaining family-owned luggage company in the United States.
